So this is my life.

I found this little picture along with this interesting quote. Let me know what you think...again. Facebook me. Email me. Text me. Leave me a comment. Anyway, just let me know! (And I'll blog about it soon!)

  1. This is my life and I want you to know I am both happy and sad and I am still trying to figure out how this could be...a good way to put into words the human complex. I am blessed beyond measure.I have family, I have food, I have a clothing, I have money, I have shelter, I have an education, and I have the love of a God that sent His only Son to die for the sins of this world, my sins and through Him I have eternal life...so with all that, what reason do i have to be unhappy? I should rejoice every morning that i wake up and mull over options of what to eat for breakfast or take a hot shower. I should always find joy in spending time with my family knowing that somewhere a little boy or girl is alone in an orphanage waiting for someone to make adopt them into their family. There are countless other things in my life that I should be happy about and I am happy about. But yet I become sad, angry, and depressed. And while that is unavoidable as humans, we dwell on these things. We dwell on the things that are "ruining" life instead of seeing the wonderful blessings all around us. It's a truly simple quote with what seems like an elementary explanation and should carry heavy weight with us as Christians and the spectacular blessings that the Lord has bestowed upon us all. I was reading "The Hiding Place" by Corrie Ten Boom today and there was a quote by her mother that immediately brought this to mind. Her mother said "Happiness isn't something that depends on our surroundings, Corrie. It's something we make inside ourselves." This is my life and I am both happy and sad...and through my salvation and a biblical perspective I have realized why this is. And with Christ and his redemption in my life, I try to remedy this daily in an effort to know Him better, to live my life for Him, and so that everything I do is for the furtherance of His Kingdom, bring Him glory and honor. The Lord just brought all this together when I was reading today after I saw this image...
