Meet Esi.

Mat and I decided to sponsor Esi through Compassion International, and I am so glad we did.

Esi lives in Ghana with her grandmother, and she is 8 years old. Esi's country is infested with AIDS, and we can only pray our gifts will help her to have a better life.

I'm sure I'll be posting more about Esi in the upcoming months, but for now, I just wanted to introduce you to the newest member of our family. Mat and I hope we get to know Esi very well, and I hope you will grow to love her just as we do through our blog.

We ask that you will pray for her and her grandmother, as I am sure she is doing all she can to raise Esi to the best of her abilities.

And my prayer is that as you read my blogs about Esi, you will be moved to sponsor a child, too. If you would like more information about sponsorship, go to Compassion's Web site. There, you can browse through children by many different specifications, and chose a child you'd like to sponsor.

I pray that you'd just consider it. And we'll allow God to work out the details.

Welcome to our family, Esi!! We are so glad God has strategically placed you in our lives!!

  1. You are wonderful for doing this. It matters!

  2. My niece Whitney Wash sponsors a child thru compassion and she got to go meet her last year at her home somewhere in the south pacific. She said it was awesome. Glad you are sharing.

  3. I'm in the process of sponsoring a child through Compassion also! I know that God is using you and Mat to bless Esi's life!
