you're three months old, wattsie!

Happy three month birthday, Wattsie!

Time has absolutely flown. You have grown up so much over the past few weeks. I can definitely tell a huge difference in between two and three months. You are such a big girl, and your little personality has definitely started to shine over the past four weeks.

You wear mostly 3 month or 3-6 month clothes. You are still in size 1 diapers, but I have a feeling we are about to have to move to size 2. You wear size 1 shoes (when you wear them), and 0-6 month socks.

We don't go to the doctor this month for a check-up, but from the best that I can tell, you weigh about 15 pounds. I have no idea how long you are. I couldn't even try to keep you still enough to measure you!

You are a wiggle worm! You absolutely hate laying down unless you are eating. You hate to be held like a baby, but as long as you're either standing on someone's lap or being held so you can see everything, you are happy as a lark. You are bright eyed all the time. You never miss a single thing. You love to watch tv (you get that from your momma), and you love to roll over from your back to your belly. You've gotten so good at it, too.

You are not too keen on taking naps during the day, but you are sleeping like a champ at night. I feed you around 8:30 or 9:00, and we put you down anywhere from 9:30-10:30. You sleep until around 2:00 or 5:00, wake up for a feeding, then go back to sleep until around 8:30. You are a great night sleeper, and as a momma who loves her sleep, you are a huge blessing to me.

You love, love, love your daddy. I love watching you two together. He is absolutely smitten with you. He worries about you all the time (in a good way). He loves to check in on you. He is always the one who goes and gets you during the night. Sometimes when we are laying in bed together after we've put you in your crib, he says, "I miss that little girl a little bit." And I know exactly how he feels.

You love to eat your hands. You have them in your mouth all of the time. You've also started to slober quite a bit, too. Your shirts are always wet. Your favorite toy is your bug that we keep attached to your car seat handle. We call him Mr. Bug. You stare and smile at him all the time when you're in your car seat.

You always smile in the mornings, after long naps (when you take them), and after you've eaten. Sometimes, we can get you to smile when we are talking to you. And speaking of talking, you "ooooh" and "gooooo" all the time. You love to talk, and you love to have someone listen to you when you talk!

You like to "go." You love to stroll in your stroller and ride in the car still. This makes life great for Momma and Daddy!

Oh, and you love bathtime! I've blogged about it before, but you really do love your bath. Your favorite part is when I let the tub get really full-- you can splash with your feet better that way.

We have lots and lots of names for you: Ama-Watts, Watts, Ama, Wattsie, Amalou, Wednesday (as in Wednesday Addams from the Addams Family because you are so, so serious all of the time), Jenny (as in, "You're my girl, Jenny."), Punkin, and Punk, just to name a few. (Your daddy also says to add in "Little Whitney.")

Oh, Wattsie, how you have brought joy to your daddy and me. I cannot imagine life without you. Thank you for being so wonderful. You make me happy every single day of your little life. I thank God for entrusting your little soul to us for this short time.

Happy three month birthday to you, little girl. Your momma is wild about you.
