cape may, new jersey

After we left Philadelphia on Thursday, we drove the rest of the way to Cape May, and met up with my family (Mom, Papa, Mimi, Uncle Jim, Aunt Tammy, Megan, Weston, Morgan, and Ellie Parker) who was already there.

Driving into Cape May is like driving in a magazine. Everything is so beautiful. My favorite part of Cape May is the harbor where all of the boats dock. We didn't get to spend a lot of time walking around, but it was amazing just to see it from the car. I love coastal towns, and Cape May sure didn't disappoint. I'm so jealous that my brother gets to live here every single day!

Ama-Watts was able to go swimming for the first time at our hotel. She loved it! She is such a water bug, and she loves to splash! She even got a little sun on her little white body, which was good.

She also had such a good time with her cousin, Ellie Parker. I am so glad that we live closer to my family now. I've missed little EPB so much, and I'm so happy we'll be able to see her (and her momma and daddy!) more now.

On Thursday night, we walked to eat and shop with my Aunt Tammy, Uncle Jim, my cousins, Morgan and Megan, Meg's husband Weston, and their daughter Ellie Parker. My mom and my grandparents went with us, too. We ate seafood (of course!), and it was fantastic.

On Friday morning, we all got up and sat by the pool for a long time. We are lunch next door to our hotel later on in the day, then a few of us headed to get ice cream.

I don't have any photos, but some of my favorite memories of our trip to New Jersey were night when all my family sat outside our rooms in the rocking chairs and just talked. I cannot even begin to describe how much I love my sweet family, and times like those are what it's all about. I'm so glad AWA is going to grow up in our family. We are so, so blessed!

This post is long already, so I'll stop there. A blog post on Gunter and Lauren's wedding is coming up next...I promise!
