the little man's lair

Little Ford's nursery is (almost!) finished, so I decided to go ahead and do a post. (We are still waiting on his over-the-crib monogram; I'll do another post when it's finished!)

I knew that I wanted to paint the walls navy, so we used Benjamin Moore's Hale Navy. We loved the color from the beginning, so it wasn't hard for us to decide on a paint color. We used a satin finish.

The green and white chevron lamp came from Kirkland's here in Gadsden. The small wooden side table came from T.J. Maxx in Louisville a few years ago.

The BlaBla dream ring was bought in Birmingham at Fireflies and Fairytales, but you can buy them online here.

Ford will be sleeping in Ama-Watts' Pottery Barn crib (we bought her a new, white Jenny Lind crib) and using her Pottery Barn changing table. We also put Ama-Watts' rocking chair and ottoman in his room, as well, because we do not rock her anymore.

The grey and white monogrammed chevron blanket and the roadster crib sheet (I cannot find it online) both came from Pottery Barn Kids.

Mat had a great idea to hang an old Jeep grill in Ford's nursery. Pop (Mat's dad) came through in the clutch and found us one (for free!), and he and Mat hung it last night. It is the perfect finishing touch in his little room.

We also have two Pottery Barn Kids car prints on the wall along with a map of Mobile Bay that Mat and I bought in Fairhope on our babymoon.

Pop also gave me his red latern that was his when he was a little boy, so I hung that in the nursery, too.

I hung two old photos of both of Ford's namesakes on his wall, too. Winford Alexander (Mat's paternal grandfather) is on the left and Paul Ledbetter (Mat's maternal grandfather) is on the right.
